Long Pond, Pa. — According to sources Dale Jarrett, Michael Waltrip Racing and Toyota were re-evaluating Jarrett’s future with the team and could release him outright or sending him to a different Toyota team, either a current team or one that could switch to Toyota next season. … Roger Penske told trade newspaper NASCAR Scene that his team won’t switch to Toyota next season, as has been rumored. “We've got to honor the commitments that we have,” Penske told Scene. “In other times when we've had contractual relationships with our business partners, the last thing you do is jump from one thing to another. You never have continuity that way."
