Pocatello, Idaho — Dan Runte may have been third in Freestyle this weekend at the Monster Truck Winter Nationals Championship but his 27 of 30 points put him ahead of Sean Duhon to take the title Saturday

Summit Racing also sent Dave Harkey to the Pocatello, Idaho to bring back the Checkered Flag Productions Championship. Runte was the number one qualifier, followed by Harkey in the number three spot, which kept them from facing each other until the finals. Unfortunately, Harkey’s truck ended up with torque converter problems and was not able to compete.

Ed Duckinfield, Tim Trent and Dave Harkey aided Runte on the Bigfoot Team.
