MUSTANG ACROSS AMERICA TOUR DAY 4

Birmingham, Ala. — Last night they shut down the main street in Homewood, Ala. We went down to see more than 600 parked Mustangs that filled the entire street. Lined down the street, there were Mustangs from 1964 all the way down to the new 2010. It was unbelievable to just see the mobs of people from all ages in Mustang shirts and Mustang hats out to check out the cars.

It was just an incredible vibe. Bands were playing and everyone was just having a good time. I just really felt the passion that everyone has out here. It’s just unbelievable and you can’t even understand it until you experience it.

Today we showed up at Barber Motorsports Park, and once we got through the huge amount of traffic waiting to get into this place, we jumped on the track. It’s so packed here today, it’s unbelievable the amount of people running around.

We got on the track and went out and did a couple of exhibitions. As I was going by this long turn I was watching the line of people waiting for the shuttle and they all just started running towards the hill to watch us when we were coming around the next time. It was really funny to watch. It’s just incredible to come out here, do what I do and see the smiles that are on all the faces as the 2010 Mustang comes screaming down a turn.

We’re just having a blast. Today a lot of enthusiasts have been taking out their pride and joy and running them on the track. It’s really cool to see people driving their collector cars and hot rods out on the track. It’s really neat to see that these guys and gals don’t just keep them in the garage.

We’re on lunch break right now and I’m heading out in about an hour to do three more demos today. Everything is going really good and I’m trying not to get too loose out there.

Tomorrow we have the same thing going on so if anyone wants to come out we are going to be doing more demos. If you’re out in the area you need to come out and check out the celebration.
