Ford Interceptor
Good news comes early as America's favorite muscle car debuts as a grown-up four-door sedan. The Ford Interceptor 2007 concept is based on a stretched Mustang platform. Its 5.0-liter V-8 Cammer engine delivers 400 horsepower and runs on E-85 ethanol. This engine has powered Ford Racing's FR500C racecar to the top of the Grand Am Cup's GS class.
Mustang by Giugiaro
Designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro, the vibrant orange concept Mustang is wider than the production car. With its longer hood and the trunk barely visible, it looks more of a fastback in side view. The powertrain and chassis were enhanced in conjunction with Ford Racing, an effort which also produced the FR500C, a race-prepared version of the Mustang.
