- The 2026 World Rally-Raid Championship season kicked off in Saudi Arabia. Eight Ford Raptor T1+ teams are taking on the Dakar Rally, the toughest off-road race in the world.
- Mattias Ekström and co-driver Emil Berkgvist finished first in the Prologue of the 2026 Dakar Rally, with Mitch Guthrie Jr and Kellon Walch finishing second.
- Martin Prokop captured the first competition podium for the Ford Raptor T1+, finishing third in the Ultimate Class in Stage One’s 305km special out of Yanbu.
- Ekström finished fifth after taking a strategic pitstop in order to start further back in Stage 2.
