NORTHVILLE, Mich. – Tired of the cold and snow of winter yet? Wish you could take your Mustang out to a local Cars & Coffee event to check out some cool rides? So do we. That’s exactly why we’re offering you yet another installment of our “let’s remember the 2025 car show season” with cool photos of hot Mustangs that were taken last fall to remind you that if you hang in there a while longer, it’ll soon be time to get out and enjoy our performance Fords once again. So, to hold you over until spring comes along, we thought we’d again share a collection of Mustang photos from a local “Cars & Coffee” events that one of our correspondents, Ford-retiree-turned-roving-photographer Bill Cook, had attended last fall
Cook lives only a few miles from the Detroit suburb of Northville, Michigan, which hosts some popular cruise-in venues in this historic little city’s downtown area. He attended three different Cars & Coffee venues at the end of the 2025 car show season, the first being the Northville Cars and Coffee on Saturday, September 13. “I arrived at 8 a.m. and a good number of cars were already there,” Cook told us. “Mayor Brian Turnbull, along with Alexander’s Custom Clothiers founded this event in 2019. Brian was on hand, as most always, to greet the participants and update everyone on happenings in Northville. He enjoys talking cars as well as collecting them.”
The other two events were just down the road at the ZF North America complex in nearby Northville Township. These are known as “E.C.C. Cars and Coffee.” (ECC stands for Exotic Car Connections, the LLC that organizes the bigger monthly events.) Cook had headed over the first of the two EEC Cars & Coffee events on that same September weekend. “I got there well after 9 a.m., and this event is always well-attended with a broad variety of rides,” Cook had reported. “The attendance was hindered somewhat because of the 15 percent chance of rain that day. It was overcast all morning with the only rain being very light and brief. Some people left when they felt sprinkles. I ignored it, had a great time and so did many others.”
Cook returned on the morning of Saturday, October 11, telling us that he got there at 9:30 a.m. and stayed until 11:45. “There was a large turnout of cars – this time with families and kids because it was their second annual “Trunk or Treat” event.” Cook noted. “Some cars and people dressed for Halloween and many more car owners had treats for the kids. Lots of smiles everywhere and a bunch of fine rides, too.””
We went through the photos that Cook sent us from all three events and picked out shots of our favorite Mustangs to share with you in the gallery below. So, grab a coffee of your own and scroll through our Mustang photo selections so that you can be in the proper frame of mind to begin the 2026 car show season . . . after winter finally leaves us!
