Mustang Cup Series Overview
A groundbreaking entry-level racing platform which bridges the gap between Ford Racing Driving Experiences and the Mustang Challenge. The Mustang Cup offers a professionally organized, club-level racing environment for novice and hobby racers to develop the fundamentals of organized racing on private USAC operated race weekends, alongside other USAC series and events.
The new series, debuted in 2025, will act as a starting point in the Ford Racing sports car racing pyramid for novice racers.
Each race weekend will feature three 30-minute practice sessions, two separate 15-minute qualifying sessions and two 40-minute races.
Mustang Cup has two championships, the Miles Cup and Parnelli Cup, with each championship holding one qualifying session and one race per event weekend. This format allows two fellow racers to share one car, splitting the cost, track time, and fun of a race weekend without sacrificing championship points.
Mustang Cup Australia Series Overview
Mustang Cup Australia is the first international Mustang one-make series, further expanding the base of the Ford Racing Motorsports Pyramid. The series will play an important role in Australian motorsport, bridging the gap between entry-level cars and professional series like Supercars or GT3 competition.
Each race weekend will feature up to three 30-minute practice sessions, two 15-minute qualifying sessions, and two 40-minute races.
Mustang Cup Australia has two championships, the Ambrose Cup and the Johnson Cup, with each championship holding one qualifying session and one race per event weekend. This allows sessions to be split between two drivers in the same Mustang Dark Horse R and ultimately gives each driver a chance to fight for a championship.
