Formula Drift travels to its third of three new venues in 2026, competing at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway September 24-26. As the series eyes its final two rounds of the season, James Deane leads the championship in his Ford Mustang RTR Spec-5 FD. The five-time champion is looking to extend his championship lead in pursuit of a second career three-peat this weekend.
Last time out in Seattle, Deane claimed first in qualifying and Ben Hobson claimed eighth. In the Top 32, Hobson put on two great runs to move on to the Top 16. Deane had a bye run, which meant he automatically advanced to the Top 16. In the Top 16, Deane had a small miscalculation during a transition period in his chase run and did not move on to the Great Eight. Hobson made it to the Great Eight and fought hard in his battle but did not advance to the Final Four.
