NÜRBURG, Germany – Ford Racing ® enters its second season of competition at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, fielding a three-car Mustang GT3 ® lineup for the 54th running of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, May 14 –17. Building on a debut season that included a class victory in 2025, America’s Race Team returns to the Nordschleife — popularly known as “the Green Hell”— in partnership with German-based Haupt Racing Team (HRT).
The SP9 Pro class entries feature elite driver lineups. The No. 64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 features a standout roster of Arjun Maini (IND), Fabio Scherer (CHE), Frank Stippler (GER), and David Schumacher (GER). The No. 67 Bundeswehr entry features Christopher Mies (GER), Frédéric Vervisch (BEL), Dennis Olsen (NOR) and double starter Stippler.
A third Mustang GT3 is entered in the SP9 Pro-Am class, where HRT Ford Racing was victorious in 2025. The No. 65 recruits the talents of Hubert Haupt (GER), Vincent Kolb (GER) and Colin Caresani (NLD) and Schumacher, who will also be driving in two cars this weekend.
Ford arrives at the 24-hour marathon following a historic month of record-breaking performances in April. The Ford GT Mk IV etched its name into the Nürburgring record books with a blistering lap of 6:15.977, becoming the fastest American OEM vehicle and the fastest internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle to ever lap the Nordschleife. Following this, the Mustang GTD Competition shattered its own previous benchmark with a lap of 6:40.835, reclaiming the title as the fastest American road-legal vehicle at the circuit.
“The Nürburgring has long been a proving ground for Ford, where both our production cars and race cars are tested at the highest level,” said Alex Allmandinger, Ford Racing Global Sports Car Manager. “There is a clear connection between Mustang GTD and Mustang GT3, and development of the GT3’s evo package and the GTD Competition has made that link even stronger. What we learn on the track goes straight into the products you can buy for the road.”
Ford’s history at the Nordschleife is rooted in a philosophy of continuous improvement, using one of the world’s most demanding tracks to bridge the gap between GT3 racing and road-legal performance.
“Setting records with both the GTD Competition and the GT Mk IV, as well as the 2025 class win has shown that we know what it takes to tackle the Green Hell,” Allmandinger continued. “We will compete this year with three entries from HRT Ford Racing. If we haven't made it clear already, Ford Racing is here to win.”

ULRICH FRITZ, CEO Haupt Racing Team: “The past few weeks have been incredibly important for us in terms of getting to know the Ford Mustang GT3 with the new EVO package better under the specific conditions of the Nordschleife and continuing to develop it. We were able to gain valuable experience both in the NLS races and in the 24h Qualifiers. Now we’re looking forward to tackling the biggest race of the year with a strong driver lineup. The ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring is always a special challenge and, at the same time, an absolute highlight on the motorsport calendar.”
ARJUN MAINI, No. 64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “A big highlight of the season is just ahead for me — the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. I’m really looking forward to the weekend and to letting the powerful Ford Mustang GT3 off the leash again in the Green Hell. We have a solid base and I'm looking forward to picking up where we left off last year. With the Evo package, I'm hopeful we can compete at the very front and achieve a solid result.”
FRÉDÉRIC VERVISCH, No. 67 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3: “It’s been two years since I have competed in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and my first in the Ford Mustang GT3. My first experience on the Nordschleife since then was with the Ford GT Mk IV, which was a special moment for me. We podiumed after in NLS 3, which was my first time driving the Mustang GT3 there. They are both great memories, and the icing on the cake would be finishing the 24-hour on a high.”
VINCENT KOLB, No. 65 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “The 24 Hours of Nürburgring is always a highlight of the season. The competition is incredibly strong, but with the No. 65 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3, we feel well prepared and focused on delivering a consistent race. On the Nordschleife, anything can happen — the key is to stay sharp, avoid mistakes, and be there at the end.”
