The longest continuous running organization in NASCAR is Wood Brothers Racing and for more than 75 years this family run team has set the standard for what a successful operation looks like.

It all started with brothers Glen and Leonard laying down a solid foundation that started in 1950 and has continued through the 2000’s with Eddie and Len, Glen's two sons, maneuvering the team through an ever-changing landscape that included the creation of charters to help organizations build value.

In 2024, WBR announced a series of moves that has positioned the organization for continued success.  The business structure includes Eddie’s two children, Jon (President) and Jordan (Chief Marketing Officer), and Len’s son, Keven (Executive Vice President), as part of upper management.  Eddie (Chief Executive Officer), Len (Chief Operating Office) and Kim Wood Hall (Chief Financial Officer) continue to oversee a team that has more than 100 NASCAR Cup Series victories and one of the most formidable driver rosters the sport has ever seen.

Glen and Leonard started WBR running Sportsman and Modified events in their native Virginia. When they made their NASCAR Winston Cup debut at Martinsville Speedway on May 17, 1953, it was in a Ford and it's been that way ever since.

After Glen retired from racing, Len and Eddie inherited WBR, taking lead roles with the team in 1985. Eddie was mainly responsible for chassis setup while Len oversaw the motor program.

Kim Wood Hall, the youngest sibling in the Wood family’s second-generation owners, began her career in racing by assisting her mother, Bernece, in the shop’s office. She coordinates the complex travel schedule required for the NASCAR Cup Series and handles all of the team’s finances.

The Wood Brothers boast one of the most impressive driver rosters in the sport, having had 12 inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame and 20 voted to NASCAR's list of the 50 Greatest Drivers.

The team is headquartered in Mooresville, NC, and houses one of the most impressive museums in the sport at their original shop in Stuart, VA.
