Summary

SCORE International (September 12 — Baja 400) — FORD VICTORY

• RJ Zanon captured the Class 3 victory at the Baja 400, completing the 416-mile course through the Baja peninsula in 15 hours and 35 minutes. 

Formula 1 (September 11 - 13 - Madrid, Spain) 

• Max Verstappen raced to a second place finish in the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix at Madring in Madrid. It was Red Bull Ford Powertrains seventh F1 podium of the season. 

• Liam Lawson (sixth) and Arvid Lindblad (ninth) joined Verstappen in the top-10. Yuki Tsunoda was 14th. 

• Verstappen is currently sixth in the Driver’s Championship with Isack Hadjar and Lawson in eighth and ninth respectively. Lindblad is 11th while Tsunoda, driving in a limited reserve role, is 20th. 

  

Repco Supercars Championship (September 11 - 13 – AirTouch 500 at The Bend)

• Kai Allen and Tim Slade led Ford to a second-place finish, followed by Will Brown and Scott Pye in fourth to round out the top-five.

• Other Ford finishers in the Top 10 included: Matt Payne and Will Davison (sixth), and Ryan Gray and Tony D’Alberto (10th).

• Fords represented the top four spots in the shootout, which included Brodie Kostecki, Matt Payne, Cam Waters and Thomas Randle respectively.

NASCAR Cup Series (September 13 – St. Louis)

• Joey Logano’s third place finish led Ford and moved him up two spots in the Chase standings with eight races remaining in the season.

• Logano won the pole and led a race-high 96 laps, going from eighth to sixth in the standings (51 points out of first).

SRO Intercontinental GT Challenge (September 11 - 13 – Suzuka)

• The No. 64 Miedecke Motorsport by Team MPC Ford Mustang GT3, co-piloted by Ford factory drivers Dennis Olsen, Frédéric Vervisch and Christopher Mies, earned a second-place finish at the Suzuka 1000km.

DTM (September 12 - 13 – Sachsenring)

• The No. 36 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 of Arjun Maini battled a chaotic pair of races, leading Ford to a pair of 12th place finishes. The No. 64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 of Finn Wiebelhaus narrowly evaded a multi-car incident in Race 1 to 17th, and improved to 13th for Race 2.

• Maini ranks eighth in the championship (116, -81) and Wiebelhaus 15th (66, -131).

ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (September 12 - 13 – Nurburgring Nordschleife)

• The No. 64 Haupt Racing Team Ford Mustang GT3 of Vincent Kolb and Frank Stippler, which qualified on the second row for a doubleheader weekend, rebounded from an early retirement in NLS 8 to a sixth-place finish in NLS 9.

Mustang Cup USA (September 11 - 13 – Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta)

• Logan Adams clinched both the Miles Cup and Parnelli Cup championships in the Dark Horse class. Craig Capaldi became the first back-to-back champion in Mustang Cup USA, winning his second Miles Cup championship and his first Parnelli Cup championship in the Dark Horse Legends class. 

• In Saturday’s Miles Cup race, Kale Buhl won in the Dark Horse class and Steve Luca earned the Dark Horse Legends victory. In Sunday’s Parnelli Cup race, Adams was victorious in the Dark Horse class and David Luaces won in Dark Horse Legends. 

Drift Masters (September 11 - 12 – Poland)

• James Deane earned a podium at the final Drift Masters round of the season in Poland, finishing third. 

• With this podium finish, Deane finished fourth in the championship.

• Zanon has completed all three SCORE races this season in his salvaged, garage-restored Ford Bronco Black Diamond. 

• The SCORE International season concludes with the Baja 1000 November 9-15th. 

Formula 1 (September 11 - 13 - Madrid, Spain) 

• Max Verstappen raced to a second place finish in the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix at Madring in Madrid. It was Red Bull Ford Powertrains seventh F1 podium of the season.

• Ford drivers in the Chase with eight races remaining: 4th - Ryan Blaney  (-33 behind leader Denny Hamlin), 6th – Joey Logano (-51), 12th – Austin Cindric (-108), 13th – Chris Buescher (-111), 14th – Ryan Preece (-113)

• The Chase continues on Saturday, Sept. 19 with the annual Bristol Night Race from Bristol Motor Speedway (7:30 p.m. ET, USA, PRN, SiriusXM, HBO Max).

• The No. 64 Miedecke Motorsport by Team MPC Ford Mustang GT3, co-piloted by Ford factory drivers Dennis Olsen, Frédéric Vervisch and Christopher Mies, earned a second-place podium during the Suzuka 1000km.

• The Mustang GT3 performance at IGTC’s Suzuka round marks the highest overall finish by an American manufacturer.

• Mustang started from pole position, recording a combined qualifying time of 1:59.277.

• James Deane earned a podium at the final Drift Masters round of the season in Poland, finishing third. 

• Deane topped qualifying with a 98-point run and made it to the final four in the main event but was unable to advance to the final battle. 

• With this podium finish, Deane finished fourth in the championship.
