From Daytona to the deserts of Dakar, Ford’s racing heritage is written in metal, carbon fiber, and sweat. Now, for a limited time, fans have a chance to take home pieces of that story, not replicas, but real artifacts that have seen the heat of competition.

Ford Racing and Ford Brand Licensing are unveiling the Ford Rare Parts auction, a curated collection of race-used items from across Ford’s motorsports programs, with proceeds supporting Breakthrough T1D. It’s more than memorabilia. It’s a way to connect fans to the heart of Ford’s racing legacy while fueling the fight against type 1 diabetes. The auction items will be available beginning on October 10, 2025, and bidding will end on November 10, 2025.

Some of the items up for bid are the stuff of legend. The No. 21 NASCAR Cup Series Mustang Dark Horse door panel from the Wood Brothers, signed by Eddie, Len and Leonard Wood. The Rolex 24 driver suit worn by Joey Hand as he piloted the Mustang GT3 under the lights of Daytona. The front windshield from Bob Tasca III’s Mustang NHRA Funny Car, carrying the signature of Tasca himself. A signed visor from three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano. A piece of bodywork from the Mustang GT3. Even gear from Ford’s off-road factory program. Each artifact is a chapter in Ford’s ongoing racing story.

A previous Ford Rare Parts collection featuring Mustang-exclusive items drew strong demand from collectors. But this marks the first time such a collection will go to auction, creating a rare opportunity for fans to bring home a piece of Ford Racing’s global legacy while supporting a deeply personal cause for the Ford family.

The cause is Breakthrough T1D, the leading global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization. For more than 25 years, Ford has partnered with the organization through the Ford Global Action Team for Breakthrough T1D (FGAT). Founded in 1998 by Edsel B. Ford II in honor of his son Albert, who has lived with type 1 diabetes for more than two decades, FGAT has become one of Breakthrough T1D’s largest and most impactful corporate fundraising groups. With more than 90 teams across 11 countries, FGAT has raised over $85 million in the fight to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes.

The Rare Parts auction is where passion meets purpose. Ford Racing, its teams, and its fans are uniting to turn racing history into real impact. For enthusiasts, it’s a chance to hold a tangible piece of the track. For Ford, it’s a chance to push the fight against type 1 diabetes across the finish line.
