CANTON, N.C. – The Ford Performance Club Connect enthusiast outreach program has supported hundreds of car show and events over its nearly 18-year run with an on-site Ford footprint that always proves wildly popular for club members and showgoers alike. As the program planned its last Meet & Greet trip of the 2025 show season, it wanted to go out in style by making a big impact, and of all the event-support requests that were received last fall, one of them stood out: The Blue Ridge Mustang Club of Asheville, North Carolina, was hosting its annual fall show, and we knew we had to be there.
Both Asheville and nearby Canton are still reeling from the devastating flood damage done in North Carolina from Hurricane Helene back in late September of 2024. We wanted to help the club and its members regroup by driving down from Dearborn for the weekend and supporting the Blue Ridge Mustang Club of Asheville’s great little all-Ford car show at Ken Wilson Ford in the neighboring town of Canton. Perhaps what sealed the deal was that the club wanted us to come down the night before for a club dinner at an historic restaurant in downtown Canton, and then a members-only Mustang presentation at the Lambuth Inn Resort just down the highway in Lake Junaluska, NC.
The Mustang presentation on Friday night was fun and insightful as we quickly learned of the Ford passion that drives the members of this club. The car show the next morning felt like a family reunion with people that we just met the night before. That’s just the kind of hospitality and energy we felt in the Club Connect Meet & Greet display tent as we traded Ford stories and gave out Mustang posters all day. While we can’t show you all the friends we made at the show, we can show you some of the cool Fords we saw on the show field that day. So we snuck away from our poster-slinging tent duty to walk the show and take a few photos to share with you in our gallery below:
