In an all-Ford Mustang final round at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Vaughn Gittin Jr. claimed victory in Round 2 of the 2026 Formula Drift season. Gittin Jr. bested RTR Mustang teammate James Deane in a final battle under the lights at the Braselton, Georgia track.

In qualifying, Gittin Jr. qualified 12th, and Deane qualified second, putting them on opposite sides of the bracket. Ben Hobson in the third RTR Mustang spun in his first qualifying run, and his second qualifying run wasn’t enough to put him into the Top 32.

Gittin Jr. and Deane both won their Top 32, Top 16, Great Eight and Final Four tandem battles, having clean runs and capitalizing on the mistakes of their opponents. The two faced off in an all-RTR Mustang final battle, where Gittin Jr. secured the win after Deane went off course in his chase run.
