Mexico City, Mexico - Max Verstappen made a significant statement in the Drivers' Championship at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, securing his record-extending sixth Mexican Grand Prix victory and moving into second place in the standings. The result marks another milestone for the Dutchman, who now holds the record for the most wins at the iconic circuit, while strengthening his position in the championship as the season enters its final stages.

In Round 19 of the FIA Formula One World Championship, Verstappen delivered a commanding performance, fighting his way through the field after starting fifth. An exceptional opening lap saw the Dutchman climb to second place by Lap 2, immediately putting himself in contention for the race lead.

Isack Hadjar also demonstrated resilience following a challenging opening to his race. Starting seventh, the driver spun and dropped 15 positions to the back of the field. Despite the setback, Hadjar fought his way back through the pack to finish in 12th.

The result further strengthens Oracle Red Bull Racing's position in third place in the Constructors' Championship, with Max Verstappen moving up to second place in the Drivers’ Championship.

At Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, Liam Lawson produced an impressive recovery drive after a pit lane start due to a technical breach. Showing determination and strong race pace throughout, Lawson climbed an impressive 15 positions to finish 7th, making the most of every opportunity across the 71-lap race.

For Arvid Lindblad, the Mexican Grand Prix proved more challenging. Starting eighth on the grid, Lindblad delivered a solid and consistent performance during the race, but unfortunately his afternoon came to an end with a DNF.

The FIA Formula 1 World Championship continues next weekend at the Brazilian Grand Prix on 8 November.
