Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen qualified in second, securing a front-row start for the weekend’s race. Delivering another composed and competitive drive, Verstappen remained firmly in the fight throughout, overcoming the setback of an unfortunately timed Virtual Safety Car to claim third place. The result also marked a significant milestone for the Team, securing Oracle Red Bull Racing’s 300th Formula 1 podium.
Teammate Isack Hadjar produced the drive of the day. Having qualified 10th, the Frenchman lined up 21st after the team opted to take engine upgrades at this race. Undeterred, Hadjar used Spa's long straights and generous overtaking zones to climb through the field, gaining 15 places to cross the line sixth - a standout recovery race.
There were points too for Visa Cash App Racing Bull’s Arvid Lindblad. The rookie qualified in seventh, his best qualifying position so far, and bought the car home in ninth, extending his run to a fifth consecutive points-scoring weekend. Teammate Liam Lawson started 9th and finished 12th.
The FIA Formula 1 World Championship continues next weekend at the Hungarian Grand Prix, the final race before the F1 summer break.
