Ford Racing and Proton Competition are set to bring the thunder of the Ford Mustang GT3 to the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for round two of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Taking place from 7 - 9 May, the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa is one of the WEC’s most iconic races and is traditionally known as the dress rehearsal for Le Mans.
The team arrives in Belgium with wind in its sails following a successful season-opener at Imola where the Ford Mustang GT3 proved both its pace and reliability, racking up two hard-fought top-ten finishes. That performance provided a solid points foundation as the team transitions from the technical challenges of Italy to the high-speed, flowing sectors of the Ardennes Forest.
The Lineup
No. 88 Mustang GT3: Featuring an exciting mix of speed and precision with Logan Sargeant, Giammarco Levorato, and Stefano Gattuso.
No. 77 Mustang GT3: Driven by the skilled trio of Seb Priaulx, Ben Tuck, and Eric Powell
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is widely regarded as one of the most challenging and beautiful tracks in the world. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Ardennes, the 7.004 km (4.35-mile) circuit is the longest on the WEC calendar. It is a high-speed "rollercoaster" defined by legendary sections like the steep climb of Eau Rouge and Raidillon, the technical Pouhon double-left hander, and the flat-out blast through Blanchimont.
As the final round before the trip to the Circuit de la Sarthe, Spa offers Proton Competition the last opportunity to fine-tune the Ford Mustang GT3’s setup under full race conditions. With its unpredictable weather and high-speed demands, Spa is the ultimate litmus test. Every lap completed and every pit stop executed between 7–9 May is a vital step in ensuring the team is "Le Mans ready”.

DRIVER QUOTES:
No. 88 Ford Mustang GT3
Logan Sargeant: “I’m looking forward to building on the foundation that we set in Imola heading into Spa. It’s fantastic circuit that puts the car to the test in many areas. I’m sure we will have the opportunity to go out and put together a strong weekend and secure a strong result for the team. We know what is needed to be improved on leaving Imola, and we will put that in action at Spa. We’re also using these six hours of racing as key preparation for Le Mans – Spa will be crucial in making sure we execute everything perfectly - clean driving, no penalties, and maximizing every opportunity.
Stefano Gattuso: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Spa - it’s one of the most beautiful circuits in the world, with incredibly fast, flowing corners that make it a joy to drive. I have great memories there, having raced at Spa six times and spent plenty of time in a single-seater, including a few podium finishes. It’s a track that means a lot to me. Last year, we were fighting for the win, so I’m coming back highly motivated and confident that we can put together a strong weekend. The car has improved with the EVO package, and I have a great feeling working alongside my teammates.”
Giammarco Levorato: “I’m really looking forward to the race weekend at Spa. After a solid start of the season in Imola, we’re ready to show our potential at such an amazing track. Spa is a place with so much history and some of the best corners in the world, so it’s always special to come back and race here. The Ford Mustang GT3 has shown really good improvements this season, so the motivation is very high. Together with Proton Competition, Ford Racing and Multimatic we are working hard and my teammates and I are ready to give our best to achieve the result we deserve. I’m confident we can have a strong weekend!”

Sebastian Priaulx: “It’s been a busy few weeks, but I’ve had a bit of time to reset and I’m ready to get back out there. Spa has come around quickly, which is always exciting -it’s easily one of the top five tracks in the world. I’ve got great memories there, including a win in WEC in 2022, and it’s a circuit that never gets boring. Every lap is a thrill, with high-speed, high-commitment sections that really test you. I’m looking forward to getting back out there with the Mustang and pushing for a strong result. Imola was a bit tougher for us, but I think Spa suits the car much better. I’m optimistic we can be competitive and fight for podium positions.”
Ben Tuck: “Spa is another track that I absolutely love. This has been a great start of the season for me, with Imola and Spa, two of my top five favorite tracks ever in a row. We had a decent first round at Imola with a championship point and we could have had more. We were side by side over the line for ninth, and eighth was just ahead as well. We know that with a bit more work, we can be fighting for a podium. I'm really excited about that opportunity to fight for more and hopefully get a podium and once again, at a track that I love. I now can’t wait to get going with Eric and Seb and the rest of the team to see what we can achieve.”
Eric Powell: “Being my first race in WEC and at Imola, that first weekend was a massive learning experience for me in so many ways. I now feel like I have a better understanding of the racing culture, the tires and we have done a day of testing at Spa so I feel much more prepared. I certainly still have a lot to learn but I am very much looking forward to this one because I feel Spa also suits my driving a bit better. The track has such a good flow to it and the Mustang felt really good there.”
