DRIVER QUOTES
DENNIS OLSEN, No. 64 Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “Watkins Glen is such a great track. We went testing there and the Mustang GT3 felt really good. We are looking for redemption after being taken out when we were headed for a good result in Detroit. We’re hoping luck will come our way. We’re ready for Watkins Glen and we will come back strong.”
BEN BARKER, No. 64 Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “I haven’t raced at Watkins Glen for about 12 years so I’m really looking forward to this one. We just tested there, which went well, and we’re as prepared as we can be. We’re keen to pick up a podium as we feel like we missed out on one in Detroit. This should be a good one for the No. 64 Mustang.”
FRÉDÉRIC VERVISCH, No. 65 Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “I’m very excited to go back to Watkins Glen. Last year was my first time so now I know what to expect. We had an exciting race there last year but we had a technical issue that cost us the podium. I think the evolution of the Mustang GT3 will be good there so I’m looking forward to going back and pushing for a good result. We’re on a good wave in the No. 65 Mustang so we hope that continues.”
CHRISTOPHER MIES, No. 65 Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “Detroit was our second podium in a row after the Laguna win, so we’re now sitting third in the championship, and very close to first. Our goal for Watkins Glen is to be on the podium again and move to the top of the leaderboard. There is a good atmosphere in this team and we have really got the momentum going, which is lifting us all to a new level.”
