Ford Racing's Mustang GT3 returns to the scene of its DTM debut, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, for round five of the 2026 season. The July 24 - 26 race weekend provides HRT Ford Racing a perfect gauge of the program’s progress since marking Ford’s return to the German series in 2025. It comes on the back of recent series success for the Mustang GT3 platform with Ford works driver Arjun Maini and Ford Driver Development Team member Finn Wiebelhaus.
Maini, now in his sixth season in the DTM, has three podium finishes and one pole position. Wiebelhaus is the first driver from the "Road to DTM" program to make the jump to the DTM, having won the 2025 ADAC GT Masters championship.
FAST FACTS
- HRT Ford Racing returns to the site of its debut DTM event with momentum, collecting consecutive podiums in the last three races and capturing its maiden pole position in June.
- Ford factory racer Arjun Maini set the pace in DEKRA Lausitzring qualifying to secure pole while Ford Racing Driver Development Team member Finn Wiebelhaus drove to a third-place finish — giving the team its first podium in the DTM and delivering Ford’s first podium finish since its return. Both drivers stood on the podium in the most recent DTM round at Norisring.
DRIVER QUOTES
ARJUN MAINI, No. 36 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “I am looking forward to getting back to DTM racing with the Ford Mustang. It has been a couple of weeks since Norisring. We've been going strong and developing quite well through the season. We're having quite a strong season as a team, I would say, so let's try to build on that. It will be a cool test at Oschersleben to see how much we've improved from last year. All of us are really excited to attack the circuit. Let's try and collect some more points and keep hold of our strong positions in the championship.”
FINN WIEBELHAUS, No. 64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3 – “Second half of the DTM season is starting this weekend at the Oschersleben racetrack. I am really looking forward to the second half of the season. The first half was quite good with the HRT Ford Racing Mustang so I hope we can continue with our good results we had in the past. I am really looking forward to hitting the track on Friday and seeing all the fans coming up this weekend.”
