The Gen3 Revolution

The current iteration of the Mustang Supercar was developed under the Gen3 regulations, which debuted in 2023. The Gen3 Mustang shares a close visual and structural relationship with the road-going Mustang Dark Horse. Under the hood, it is powered by a production-based 5.4-liter Coyote V8 engine, delivering a signature American V8 roar that has become a fan favorite at circuits like Mount Panorama and Surfers Paradise.

A Legacy of Immediate Dominance

The Mustang's entry into Supercars in 2019 was one of the most successful debuts in the history of the sport.

Record-Breaking Debut: In its first season, the Mustang claimed the Drivers’ Championship and the Manufacturers’ Title, winning a record-breaking 21 out of the first 25 races.

• Bathurst Glory: The Mustang etched its name into folklore with a victory at the legendary Bathurst 1000 in 2019, proving its endurance and speed on the world’s most daunting street circuit. Ford won the historic race once again in 2025.
