Prefer a Car or Cash? Enter Shelby American Sweeps for a Chance to Win a 235-mile 2006 Ford GT or $250,000
If a Ford supercar or a big wad of money is something that would interest you, then there’s another recently launched sweepstakes you need to know about. It’s the annual fundraiser for the Shelby American Collection, a nonprofit that celebrates the rich heritage of the Cobra, Shelby Mustang and Ford GT40 cars that changed the face of auto racing in the 1960s. Thanks to the generosity of owners and collectors, the collection located in Boulder, Colorado (see website), houses some of the most important American racing cars ever made, as well as an extensive collection of race records, photographs and memorabilia from the pioneer drivers and visionaries of the era. The museum, staffed and run by volunteers, is dedicated to serve as a resource for all Shelby enthusiasts, and to preserve one of the most important eras in American automotive history for all generations.

To that end, their new sweepstakes gives you a chance to win a low-mile Ford GT, one of only 190 examples produced in Midnight Blue with painted White Stripes over Ebony leather in 2006. It is a one-owner car and it has only 235 miles since new. Power is supplied by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 linked to a six-speed manual gearbox and a helical limited-slip differential. It was factory optioned with forged aluminum BBS wheels, red-finished brake calipers and a McIntosh stereo system. Additional equipment includes Brembo brakes, HID headlights, a front splitter, a rear diffuser and air conditioning. The Ford GT took inspiration from the GT40 racing cars of the 1960s and features an extruded-aluminum space frame, roll-bonded floors and aluminum body panels.

Don’t pass up your chance to score an almost-new 2006 Ford GT supercar or $250,000 in cash while helping preserve the Shelby American Collection. To enter, visit the Sweeps site HERE (https://www.tapkat.org/shelby-american-collection/VEJoLk?promo=FASTNEWS). Use the promo code FASTNEWS for 25% more entries. Blue Ridge Mustang Club of Asheville to Host Fridy Dinner & Saturday Car Show with Club Connect on October 10-11
The Blue Ridge Mustang Club of Asheville, North Carolina, wanted to do something special this year for their annual car show, set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 at Ken Wilson Ford in nearby Canton, NC. So they emailed ClubHub@Ford.com to see if they could arrange for a Club Connect Meet & Greet and Mustang poster giveaway at the dealership for the show. When the answer was yes, they also asked if Mustang author / columnist John Clor, Ford Racing’s Enthusiast Communications Manager and co-host of the popular Mustang Owner’s Podcast, could come down a day early for a pre-event dinner that they dubbed “An Evening with John Clor,” for an insider’s talk about Mustang’s storied history. The answer was again, yes! So they’re inviting all to join them in a celebration of the Mustang on their Oct. 10-11 show weekend – simply visit https://blueridgemustangclub.org for info on how you can register. We hope to see you there!

Bronco Off-Roadeo Adds ‘Bring Your Own Bronco’ Events to 2025 Program
Off-roaders who love to explore the wilderness in their Ford Bronco, Ford had created a Bronco Off-Road Adventures program last year with exclusive trails, expert guides and epic adventures – and announced it was back again for 2025 with six unique and extraordinary trips from which to choose this year. In 2024, Ford began inviting owners to bring their own Bronco to exclusive locations with other Bronco owners and learn the ropes from Ford’s expert overlanding guides. They visited once-in-a-lifetime spots to make memories and practice overlanding skills like off-road navigation, wilderness self-reliance and environmental stewardship. Well, that too is back this year, as the Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo program is again adding a series of three “Bring Your Own Bronco” events for 2025.
The experience encourages Ford Bronco buyers to put their off-road machine to the ultimate test in a controlled environment that allows owners to “drive the trails in a Bronco you know best – yours!” The events are supervised by experienced trail guides, who are ready to offer insight and a helping hand when necessary. The 2025 Bring Your Own Bronco events are launching in Moab, New Hampshire, and Texas this year, with each venue providing a unique set of challenges in store. There are two courses available for Bronco owners, such as the Next Level Off-Road program, where selection, spotting, and maximizing the use of built-in Bronco tech are all on the menu. The other is an Off-Road Advanced Recovery program, which helps Bronco owners get ready for the worst. This experience offers instruction on how to best utilize recovery tools, techniques, and real-time decision-making skills. Participants will learn how to winch safely, rig properly, and recover from sketchy real-world scenarios.

Each Off-Roadeo experience includes a four-hour off-roading experience, on-trail instruction, and hands-on learning. For all the details and pricing, visit the Bring Your Own Bronco program’s website.
