Mustang Challenge North America travels to the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York State for the fourth round of the 2026 season at Watkins Glen International. The June 25 - 27 weekend marks the second time the Ford Mustang Dark Horse R cars take on the 3.377-mile road course in recent one-make series history.
Current Dark Horse Legends points leader Tom Tait looks to replicate the success he had last time the series raced at Watkins Glen. In 2024, Tait earned a podium in race one of the weekend and backed it up with a top-five finish in race two. The series missed the 2025 stop at The Glen having just completed the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational.
Last time out at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, one driver earned his first Mustang Challenge North America victory. In race one, Cole Loftsgard won in the Dark Horse class after hard-fought battles with Nolan Allaer and second-place finisher Devin Anderson. In Dark Horse Legends, Paolo Salvatore was victorious for the first time after comfortably leading the whole race. In race two, Devin Anderson brought home the win in the Dark Horse class after taking the lead at the race start and remaining in the lead for the rest of the race. The fight for the Dark Horse Legends victory was incredibly close, with Paolo Salvatore finishing first on the track, but Tom Tait was awarded the victory after Salvatore was given a post-race penalty for incident responsibility.
