Ever since the 5.0L Coyote engine launched in the 2011 Mustang GT, enthusiasts and car builders recognized the performance potential as a crate engine. The Ford Performance Parts engine team shared that vision and created the necessary control system to run the engine in any vehicle. Coyote engine on a white background

Over the years as technology and materials evolved, power and torque outputs have improved. The Coyote 5.0L 4-valve configuration vastly exceeds power outputs of previous engines of similar displacement. Ford Coyote Engine on white background

With the launch of the 2024 Mustang, the Coyote continues to evolve. The Ford Performance Parts engine team is proud to announce our Gen 4 Coyote crate engines and control packs. We will be offering (2) versions of the current Mustang 5.0L Coyote engine.

The Gen 4 M-6007-M50D and M-6007-M50DAUTO engines will feature the dual throttle body intake with (2) 80mm throttle bodies. It produces 480hp @ 7,150 rpm and 415 ft.-lb. of torque @ 4,900 rpm.

The Ford Performance control packs to run the Gen 4 engines will be available in Summer 2024.

The Gen 4 Coyote Power Modules will be the subject of a future announcement.

Understanding the challenges of packaging dual throttle bodies and dual air inlet systems, the Ford Performance Engine team developed a single throttle body solution. The Gen 4X M-6007-M50H will feature a single throttle body intake and a single 80mm throttle body. It produces 460hp @ 7,000 rpm and 420 lb-ft of torque @ 4,600 rpm.

The Ford Performance Gen 4X Coyote engine will require a unique control pack to proper run the engine.

Gen 4 and 4X FEAD components and alternator kits are carry-over from the Gen 3 5.0L Coyote crate engines.

***Exhaust flange pattern on LH cylinder head has changed to match the 5.2L pattern. RH pattern remains the same as Gen 3.***
