TAYLOR, Mich. – As you might expect, the Detroit Metro Area enjoys a wide variety of automotive-related businesses that cater to almost any want or need – from component manufacturing to custom car hot-rodding and everything in-between. As any performance or collector-car owner can attest, having a good relationship with a trusted hot-rod shop can be crucial to keeping your ride road-worthy, because expert repairs and restorations prove to be more dependable than any shade-tree mechanic shortcuts. To that end, one particular well-known shop in and around The Motor City is called – quite appropriately –

Motor City Solutions, Hot Rods & Restorations, located in the Detroit Downriver community of Taylor, Michigan.

The Motor City Solutions (or MCS for short) facility is truly a one-stop shop incorporating an on-site upholstery shop, an engine room, state-of-the-art paint booths, plus all the latest tools and equipment to facilitate just about any kind of repair or restoration. Their wide range of repair experts means the majority of the work being performed on a project stays in-house. Simply put, most everyone around town knows about MCS, which is likely why they have such a great turnout each summer for their annual Open House and car show during a local cruise day.

As we expected, our long-time car-show photojournalist correspondent, Bill Cook, was at last summer’s MCS Open House and noticed something about the crowd of some 100 cars that had gathered for the event: There sure were lots of Mustangs among all the Brand X machines! So, Bill took out his trusty camera and started taking shots of some of the many Mustangs he saw there during his tour.

“On that Saturday, I attended the Motor City Solutions annual Open House event,” Cook told us after emailing us his photos. “It's always great to see the work in progress inside the shop, as well as the variety of rides that show up. I was there for three hours. The MCS staff members were readily available to talk cars, while visitors were treated to coney dogs, chips, cookies and drinks. You can imagine how popular that was”!

Yes – and we can also imagine that you’ll enjoy seeing all of the Mustangs that Cook photographed at the show in his gallery below:
