Formula Drift heads to Seattle for the sixth round of the 2026 season, competing at Evergreen Speedway August 21 - 22. Two Ford Mustang RTR Spec-5 FD race cars will fight for top honors on the track that has been a staple of the Formula Drift schedule since 2006.
Round five of the Formula Drift season in Indianapolis was canceled due to inclement weather that caused flooding at the track. Before the event was canceled, James Deane qualified fourth and Ben Hobson qualified twelfth.
In the 20 years since it joined the Formula Drift schedule, Ford has won in Seattle six times, with the most recent win coming in 2023 with Chelsea DeNofa. Last year in Seattle, Deane finished second, which helped him on his campaign to his fifth Formula Drift championship. Deane currently leads the points standings, and he will be looking for another strong performance in Seattle as he fights for his sixth title. Hobson is building momentum after earning his best-ever PRO result at Stafford, where he finished fourth. This weekend, he will be looking for his first PRO podium at what he considers one of his favorite tracks.
